Prophet Yunus عَلَیہِ السَّلام (peace be upon him) called his people to worship Allah, but they would not listen.
Prophet Yunus عَلَیہِ السَّلام and the Big Fish
Upset, he left them before Allah told him to go, and boarded a ship. A great storm came, and Yunus عَلَیہِ السَّلام ended up in the sea.
A huge fish swallowed him! It was dark inside: the dark of the night, the sea and the fish. Yunus called out to Allah and said sorry.
Allah forgave him. The fish put him on the shore, Allah grew a plant to shade him, and his people had come to believe.
Dada Jaan's lessonAllah hears us anywhere. When we make a mistake, we turn back to Allah and say sorry.
Remember this dua
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin
There is no god but You. Glory be to You. I was wrong. (Quran 21:87)
