When Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was a young man, his people worshipped idols made of stone and wood. Ibrahim knew that idols cannot hear, see or help anyone. Only Allah made the sky, the earth and everything in them.
Prophet Ibrahim عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام and the Cool Fire

One day, when the people went out of town, Ibrahim (pbuh) broke all the idols except the biggest one. When the people came back, they were angry and asked, "Who did this?" Ibrahim said, "Ask the biggest one, if it can speak!"

The people knew idols cannot speak, but they were too proud to admit they were wrong. They lit a huge fire and threw Ibrahim (pbuh) into it. Ibrahim was not afraid, because he trusted Allah completely.

Allah said, "O fire, be cool and safe for Ibrahim! (pbuh)" The fire did not burn him at all. Ibrahim walked out safe and sound, and everyone saw that Allah protects those who trust Him.

حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal-wakil
Allah is enough for us, and He is the best One to trust. (Quran 3:173. Ibrahim said these words when he was thrown into the fire, Sahih al-Bukhari 4563)
