Daily Duas

Dadi Jaan
Dadi JaanMy dears, a dua is how we talk to Allah. Here are the duas I taught your Abbu when he was little.
Before eating

Bismillah

In the name of Allah.

After eating

Alhamdulillah

All praise is for Allah.

Before sleeping

Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya

In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live.

When waking up

All praise is for Allah, who gave us life after making us sleep, and to Him we will return.

Leaving home

In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah. There is no power and no strength except with Allah.

Entering the masjid

Allahummaf-tah li abwaba rahmatik

O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.

When you sneeze

Alhamdulillah

All praise is for Allah. Whoever hears you replies: Yarhamukallah (May Allah have mercy on you).

For learning

Rabbi zidni 'ilma

My Lord, increase me in knowledge. (Quran 20:114)

For parents

Rabbir-hamhuma kama rabbayani saghira

My Lord, have mercy on them as they raised me when I was small. (Quran 17:24)
