How to make Wudu

Make your intention

In your heart, decide you are making wudu for Allah. Then say Bismillah.

Wash your hands 3×

Wash both hands up to the wrists. Wash between your fingers too.

Rinse your mouth 3×

Take water into your mouth, swirl it around and spit it out.

Clean your nose 3×

Gently sniff a little water into your nose, then blow it out with your left hand.

Wash your face 3×

Wash from your forehead to your chin, and from one ear to the other.

Wash your arms 3×

Wash from your fingertips up to and including the elbows. Right arm first, then left.

Wipe your head and ears 1×

With wet hands, wipe over your head from front to back and back again. Then wipe inside and behind your ears.

Wash your feet 3×

Wash each foot up to and including the ankles, between the toes too. Right foot first.

Say the dua after wudu

You are ready for salah! Now say:

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh
